Smackdown Hits w/Martin 7/27/12

-Miz opens up the night. I have no problem with him winning. It will open up some good possibilities on the midcard.

-A rematch for the Intercontinental title to start Smackdown. Christian and Miz had a decent match Monday, so I expect a good rematch.

-Excellent counter on the Frogsplash.

-Weird win for Miz with the eye poke. It does line it up for a rematch.

-Well it looks as if Ryback has feasted on nobodies enough. It’s Job Squad 2.0 time.

-So Jinder Mahal joins the illustrious list of athletes to slow Ryback. Jack Swagger, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Rex. Yawn.

-So Ryback wins by count out. He’s a real monster.

-Cody Rhodes landed on his face after that failed Moonsault.

-Excellent showing by Rhodes. Hopefully this means he gets into the larger title picture.

-Nice match b/t Sheamus and Rhodes, then a little run-in on Dolph Ziggler by Chris Jericho.

-Jericho is wearing Ziggler’s shirt, then mocking him using his own moves. Brilliant.

-Really hoping this ZIggler/Jericho thing goes somewhere.

-Looks like we’re coming to the end of Santino Marella’s reign, with that loss to Antonio Cesaro

-So after running into DX on Raw 1000, Damien Sandow runs through Yoshi Tatsu. Kinda shows the difference between Raw and Smackdown.

-Near fall after near fall. This is an impressive Main Event b/t Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio and Kane with a disappointing ending as Del Rio stays the #1 contender. How many times are we gonna see him lose?
