Cam’s NXT Recap: 2.6.13

The semi-finals of the NXT Tag Team Tournament would be decided tonight. The first match featured Kassius Ohno & Leo Kruger against Oliver Grey & Adrian Neville

: Oliver Grey and Leo Kruger started off the match with a stare down but Grey used his athleticism to take Kruger down and apply a side headlock.

: Grey tagged in Neville as Ohno enter the match. Neville from the middle rope took Kassius down, tagged Grey back in and both men worked on the shoulder of Ohno.

: Kassius finally got to Kruger and Leo took out all the aggression he built up in the corner on Oliver.

: Ohno and Kruger wore down Grey in their corner, taking turns applying the abdominal stretch, Grey finally countered Ohno but Kassius caught him and hit a big close line on Grey.

: Oliver had to fight his way out of the corner but again Kassius grabbed the ankle of Grey and tagged Kruger back in. Leo hit several devastating kicks to the body of Oliver.

: Grey escaped Kruger and used the back slide but roll up Kruger but Leo kicked out. Grey and Kruger were both down but they both got to their corner and it was Neville against Kassius.

: Neville, flying around the ring, did a back hand spring to kick Kruger off the apron. Kassius waited for Neville to get up and kicked him over the top rope.

: Kassius then turned towards William Regal and throw his mouth piece at him. Neville came flying over the top rope and took out Kassius. Grey then did his patent corkscrew flip onto Ohno. Grey & Neville picked up a shock victory in my opinion.

:5 Star quality match, a definite must see.

: Summer Rae was back stage and asked about her attack on Paige. Rae said she was the prettiest diva in NXT. She said Paige is ghastly to look at and she had to take it in her own hands to take out Paige.

Mike Dalton v. Connor O’Brien

: It’s nice to see O’Brian wasn’t completely wiped out since his partner was dropped from NXT.

: The crowd chanted ‘Feed Me More’ at O’Brian as he dismantled Dalton. Kind of sad because O’Brian has a little different look and move set than Ryback.

: After the squash, I mean match Connor demanded the referee count to five, but he did it himself. Big E Langston’s music hit and out walked out the NXT Champion.

: Langston then hit his finisher on Dalton and left the ring as the two starred each other down.

: Since Big E is working with the main roster I’d assume Connor is going to be the next NXT Champion.

: Paige was in Dusty Rhodes’ office, she said she wanted to rip the lips off of Summer Rae next week or their will be no NXT.

: Sasha Banks walked in and Dusty first congratulated her on her first win, then he handed Banks another secret admirer letter, and next week he would show up on Valentine’s Day.

The second semi-final match of the Tag Team Tournament: Michael McGillicutty & Bo Dallas v. Luke Harper & Erik Rowan

: McGillicutty showed how bad he wanted to be in the finals of the tournament by Striking Harper more and more until Luke was in the corner. Harper flew back at Michael and laid him out and tagged in Rowan as their leader Bray Wyatt starred on.

: Rowan used all of his strength to tighten his grip on Dallas’ rib area; Rowan then tagged back in Harper to continue the assault.

: Bo escaped and McGillicutty was in. Michael knocked Harper and Rowan both down. Bray Wyatt distracted the referee and Harper knocked Dallas down and out to give the Wyatt Family the victory.

: After the match, Wyatt entered the ring and told the fallen Bo Dallas to come join him. Harper and Rowan attacked McGillicutty on the outside as Bray snuck back in and attacked Bo Dallas as NXT went off air.
