Cam’s NXT Recap: 2.13.13

: NXT kicked off tonight with Mike Dalton going up against Axl Keegan. Paige ran down to the ring and attempted to attack Summer Rae just like Rae did two weeks ago. Both men stood in the ring while Paige told Summer Rae the show wouldn’t go on until she came back. Axl tried to talk to Paige but she slapped him and told him to leave the ring.

: Out came Dusty Rhodes, the commissioner told Paige she needed to leave the ring. Summer Rae came back out and told Paige this was her show. The two cat fought it out until they were separated by referees.

: It’s nice to see an advancement in a divas story line, maybe the main roster will take after this. It seemed Paige injured her shoulder but it was shown her with a ‘doctor’ in the back so I’m sure it’s a work to advance the story. Oh, Dalton and Keegan never had their match, so you can see where those two stand in NXT.

Corey Graves v. Alex Riley

: Riley used his high-flying style to take Corey down to the mat. Alex continued on the offense until Graves countered and took Alex down.

: Corey applied a half chicken wing, wearing Riley down Corey told the referee, he’s out, and he’s out. Alex attempted to stand up but Graves let go of the hold and began to hit Riley over and over with his forearm.

: Riley finally countered out of the submission move and hit a spine buster on Graves, and a very near fall.

: Alex went to toss Graves countered again and applied the 13th Step to force him to tap out.

: Paige against Summer Rae was announced as the next match as Paige was shown being tapped up in the locker room.

Paige v. Summer Rae

: Before I get into the match, wow has the WWE found their new Stacy Keibler. If she can work in the ring a tab bit better, we have the new future of the Divas Division.

: Paige went for a close line on Rae but he injured her shoulder again. Rae applied a submission move but Paige was able to move out and still manage to hit a one arm hip toss on Summer.

: Rae was backed into the corner but out of nowhere, she hit a spinning super kick, picking up the 1,2,3 for a shock win over Rae.

: I take back what I said Rae can work in the ring, the WWE has found their new power diva.

: Sasha Banks was waiting to meet her admirer but a random employee of NXT got some TV time and handed her an envelope stating Sasha must wait one more week to find out who he is.

NXT Tag Team Tournament Finals: Adrian Neville & Oliver Gray v. The Wyatt Family

: Before the match Bray Wyatt, the leader of the Wyatt Family. He said, already in the ring are the underdogs, they are bigger and stronger than they are.

: Erik Rowan and Oliver Gray exchanged blows until Gray applied an arm bar and tagged in Adrian Neville. Adrian continued the assault until Rowan grabbed Neville’s hair and threw him down.

: Neville regained the momentum and hit a big drop kick on Rowan. Bray Wyatt looked in and distress for the first time since his family members have come to NXT.

: Rowan managed to push Neville off of him and tag in Luke Harper but things didn’t change much. Oliver Gray and Adrian Neville continued to work very well together, keeping Harper near their corner.

: Gray was going to climb the top rope but Bray Wyatt undercut Gray knocking him down. Dusty Rhodes came down and made Wyatt leave ringside.

: Both Luke and Erik kicked and punched Gray, until the referee forced Rowan out of the ring. Harper continued to treat Gray like a child as he slapped him around.

: Oliver finally got to his partner, Adrian into the ring and going right for Rowan. Neville hit a big spinning DDT to take Rowan out of the match. Oliver took out Harper on the outside, and Adrian hit his HUGE 450 corkscrew flip for the victory becoming the first NXT Tag Team Champions.
