“Snowtober” Rips Creatively Endeavored!

If you live in the Northeast or have been watching the news, I’m sure you’ve seen that Connecticut has been ripped apart by a Nor’easter before Halloween! I’ve been without heat or electricity since Saturday and it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing lights until next week. That makes it a little hard to run a website so we’ll be on hiatus until power’s restored in our area.

When we do come back (and we WILL!), look for a special podcast interview with former WWE creative team member John Piermarini! Until then, check out our “Graphic Breakwallpapers and help spread the word of CreativelyEndeavored.com!

JC’s Top Rope Report: The WWE Youth Movement: 6 Months Later

So about 6 months ago I wrote a blog piece talking about the supposed youth movement that was happening in the WWE. During one of his conference calls, Vince McMahon said that the WWE was in a youth movement face and that they were going to focus on pushing the young talent that they had in the company. You can read that full piece here: http://jctopropereport.blogspot.com/2011/03/jcs-take-analyzing-wwes-youth-movement.html

Friday Afternoon Newsdump: 10/28/11

– Despite going against the World Series, Impact Wrestling did a huge 1.35 rating last Thursday with 2,019,000 viewers. It was the highest rated episode in the show’s history on a Thursday night. The rating was way up from last week’s episode, which garnered a 1.05 rating with 1,440,000 viewers.

TNA President Dixie Carter responded to the record rating on her Twitter.

“Two million viewers on Thursday’s IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV – our most watched episode ever!!!,” she wrote. “THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!”

{Ed. Note: While this might seem a little conceited, I can’t help but claim a little credit for this since it was my spoilers, photos and James Storm video on Twitter that garnered so much press for this episode of Impact. Did I have anything to do with the show itself? Absolutely not. But my news posts were featured on PWTorch.com, ProWrestling.NET and WrestlingInc.com, along with the video itself up to 58,000 views on TwitVid. Thank you to all the original Creatively Endeavored readers and the new ones that have come on board in the last 2 weeks!}

Editorial: My Experience At The Impact Zone

So last week I went on a second honeymoon of sorts with my wife Colleen. Seeing as my day job involves a certain network owned by the most popular mouse of the planet, Orlando is a common destination for us. Normally we just hang around the Kingdom but luckily this year we received free passes to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure.

After having our fill of Harry Potter world, we decided to try to find out how to get tickets to the Impact Wrestling taping. Now this wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. I spent weeks searching online for how to go about getting tickets to TNA in Orlando and I found nothing. Of all the regulars & “smart marks” that go to every Impact taping, not one of them has spoken about the experience online. So we were flying by the seat of our pants and it wasn’t easy. The first staff member we asked had no idea what we talking about. The second had heard of the show but knew little about it. The third pointed us to the Lost & Found saying they would know more but couldn’t help us any more. Luckily, number four at Lost & Found did know what was going and handed us two “tickets”. It took us close to an hour to find out how to get two tickets to a show they were advertising at random places throughout the park. Not the best system.

Jobber Video of the Week for 10/25/11 – Mike Williams vs Jake “The Snake” Roberts

A “jobber” is a pro-wrestler brought into a company on a per appearance basis to do one thing, lose to another wrestler and make that guy look good doing it. Being a jobber is a lost artform and one we here at Creatively Endeavored want to see brought back. Therefore, we’re featuring videos of some of the greatest jobbers of all-time right here every week!

There’s no Wikipedia entry for Mike Williams but here he is taking on Jake “The Snake” Roberts, September 11th, 1988 on WWF Wrestling Challenge!

Nashism, Not At It’s Finest?
After a recap of the happenings of Vengeance, HHH came out. No suit and tie. Jeans and a t-shirt. HHH said the business has been tough for him, but he’s made some true friends in the business. He thought Kevin Nash was one of them, but money and business now seem more important to him. HHH said last night Nash tried to break his neck, but Nash really broke his heart. AWWWWW. HHH called Nash out to the ring, because he wants to take out his frustrations on him.
