R- Truth v. Damien Sandow

: I know it’s Wrestlemania season and all but Damien Sandow really has to be considered to having the worst post Money in the Bank push in the HISTORY! That’s right Dolph, move over. I thought maybe Sandow’s character could cross over into the main event scene but the mid card it is for the intellectual savior.

The Bella Twins v. Alicia Fox & Aksana

: I never noticed before but the recent Divas matches with Aksana have really shown me she can work. Her persona is up there with the best of the Divas minus AJ Lee but move over mid card Divas, Aksana is moving on up.

Sin Cara v. Alberto Del Rio

: How many times will we see Sin Cara against Alberto Del Rio, honestly no one knows. The WWE must still be high on Del Rio, as the rumor mill says Del Rio will be in a program with Batista heading into the Elimination Chamber pay per view. I am a fan of Hunico protracting the Sin Cara character but countless matches with Alberto Del Rio does nothing for no one.

JC’s Top Rope Report: My In Person Royal Rumble Thoughts

rumble 1-28

Hello everyone. For those of you that didn’t follow me on Twitter, I was in Pittsburgh for the Royal Rumble this past weekend. I have a few in person thoughts from the show and just my general thoughts about where things are going from here in the WWE.

-First off, Pittsburgh is a nice city to visit. It is what I would love Buffalo to be. A nice downtown with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. I would love to go back and visit during the summer and check everything out.

Triple H: Internet Troll

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came to the ring. Steph said the Rumble was the most successful PPV in Rumble history as the crowd booed. HHH asked the crowd if they didn’t get what they wanted in a mocking voice. HHH ran down everything that happened and the crowd booed all of it. Stephanie McMahon said that Randy Orton will defend the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber. Daniel Bryan came out and the crowd exploded. Bryan mockingly asked the crowd to stop chanting because they didn’t want to make the Authority mad. Bryan said win or lose, when people are talking about the best of the Royal Rumble they are talking about his match. And when they talk about the biggest disappointments, they are talking about him not being in the Rumble match. Bryan said there is a Yes movement going on and everytime he asked to be in the Rumble, they said no. Steph said that they had to watch out for his health and well being. Steph asked if he thinks the crowd is here to just see him and they chanted YES. Bryan told HHH and Steph to listen to the audience and they chanted his name. Bryan said he wanted in the Elimination Chamber match and he told HHH that neither of them should leave the ring until he gets what he wants.

10 Thoughts: WWE Royal Rumble 2014 (Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, John Cena, CM Punk, Batista)

Royal Rumble 2014

1. So I took my time mulling over this show. I slept on it, read the “gut-reaction” articles I saw posted last night and now have the replay airing on my computer. There’s no argument that the WWE had an opportunity to set up 2014 as a year for a lot of young competitors that the WWE fans are rabid for right now. Obviously that didn’t happen but some good did come out of this show as well. You just had to look pretty deep to find it.

Retro Rumble: WWE Royal Rumble 2013

Royal Rumble 2013 Banner

{Editor’s Note: I didn’t have time to create a banner myself so I want to thank M2K-82 for their work above.}

– Just about time for my personal favorite PPV of the year, The Royal Rumble!

– I don’t understand why I can’t watch the pre-show on my TV if I paid for the PPV.

– Instead I have to watch a stuttering feed of what should be at least a decent US Title match.

Wrestling Is An Artform (1.26.14)

WA 1-26-14 (14)

It’s Royal Rumble Day” so why not celebrate it with some of the best artwork from around the web! The devoted “Wrestling Is An Artform” section on our site (you can find it up on the top menu) is full to the brim with our past posts so I wanted to highlight the new pieces here before they may be lost in the shuffle.

Retro Rumble: Royal Rumble 2011

With the 2012 Royal Rumble approaching so quickly, I’ve decided to try something a little different. Traditionally around Rumble time, I take a seat and have a fun marathon of all past Rumble matches. This year I’ve decided to cover them right here on Creatively Endeavored in descending order. It should be fun and I hope this gets all of us excited for one of the most exciting nights of the wrestling year.

WWE Royal Rumble 2011

– 2011 might be the weirdest Rumble to watch over again considering just how much has changed over this past year.

– It’s amazing to see CM Punk start off the night in the middle of a battle between 2 stables that don’t even exist anymore.

– CM Punk and Daniel Bryan began 2011 starting the Rumble and ended the year as the WWE and World Heavyweight Champions respectively. Pretty good year for these two.

Retro Rumble: Royal Rumble 2010

– I’ve actually been getting a lot of feedback from readers asking me to cover the older Rumbles so I’m going to do this; after this report (2010), I’ll jump back and start from the beginning. Let’s see how many we can get through before this years PPV!

– Dolph Ziggler at #1. Let the Shawn Michaels comparisons continue.

– I’m not a fan of guys performing top rope finishers like Air Bourne in the Rumble. Completely impractical.

– I kind of miss cult leader CM Punk.

– This idea of Punk cutting promos between eliminations was genius. It’s never been done before, it capitalizes on Punk’s mic skills and it made this Rumble stand out. I always remember the 2010 Rumble for these promos.
