First off I would just like to apologize for my lack of updates the past several weeks. Since I have moved Time Warner Cable has completely screwed up my internet access and to make a very long story short I have been unable to do my quick hits for NXT and my bi weekly columns. Finally this week Time Warner fixed all of their mistakes and surprisingly gave me a free month of internet due to their countless errors. I am back and will be putting out my NXT review starting this week after we do our Extreme Rules Preview Show on BlogTalkRadio.com along with a column this weekend. I have a few quick thoughts I wanted to cover in a quick hits format that I’m sure will be covered in more detail on our podcast this week.
:John Cena and Bray Wyatt have been nothing short of spectactular weeks before Wrestlemania through their very erie segment on Monday night. Wyatt is the best thing for John Cena right now, Cena is making Bray into a star and it’s the perfect time to do so. The months between Wrestlemania and Summerslam is considered the down time where the WWE can try out new characters and angles so keeping Cena and Wyatt together for another special event or two should be solid gold.
: The Shield has been money for the WWE the entire year and a half plus they have been on the main roster and everyone knows it. Turning them babyface was the right move at the right time. It’s time to make these three guys mega stars and it starts with Evolution. If The WWE is going to split up Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins then the three of them really need to be ready to be stars on their own for not only the WWE’s sake but their own personal needs and wants as well.
: The greatest fear of Daniel Bryan becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion hasn’t come true quite yet but it’s another match with Kane or Big Show or worse from coming true. Daniel is stuck in the mid card, again, just weeks after beating Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista in one night. Once this feud with Kane fizzles out the WWE need to pull together something to keep the Yes Movement train going.
: Aligning Cesaro with Paul Heyman is a still a huge, lazy mistake to me, even if it leads to Cesaro against Brock Lesnar somewhere down the line. Cesaro has been ready to be by himself for quite some time and even though Paul Heyman is arguably the greatest professional wrestling manager of all time, this pairing simply wasn’t necessary. Once Cesaro beats Jack Swagger and RVD on Sunday to blow off this feud with Swagger and Zeb Colter what is next for the King of Swing and his high powered gun?
: Once again thank you guys for reading, I apologize for missing quick hits and my columns. I will be back this weekend with a new column. Make sure to listen to the Extreme Rules Preview show tomorrow night live on BlogTalkRadio.com at 8 PM Est. Follow me on twitter @CamDougharty and let’s talk rasslin!
<- So last night was TNA’s Sacrifice and I barely made it through the show. Now I have another 3 hour wrestling show that I have to stay awake through. God give me strength.
<- Just when you thought the Wyatt act couldn’t get any creepier and they send out a horde of children singing “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” and then reveal them all wearing sheep masks. That was absolutely incredible. I don’t think I’ve seen something that creepy since the days of the Ministry of Darkness. Whoever is writing this storyline is batting 1.000 right now.

After a recap of last week’s events, John Cena came out with a cage surrounding the ring. Cena asked why. Why did everyone, when given a choice, put him in the situation he was in last week. He could have been in a fair fight or one with the odds stacked against him, and the fans chose the latter. He said someone once said you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain. He said ten years ago in this arena he was drafted to RAW and it was the loudest reaction he has ever heard. He said he’s always put the WWE fans first and he’s never given up on any of them. He said there is going to be a time where he has to step aside. Some fans cheered and Cena said he agrees with them, because he sees a great future with current stars in the WWE and on NXT. But he said Bray Wyatt is a dangerous man and not like any of them. He said when Bray Wyatt speaks its captivating. But Bray Wyatt’s passion isn’t the WWE, it is Bray Wyatt. Cena said if Bray wins this Sunday he will continue to corrupt and manipulate. Soon it will be Bray Wyatt vs The World and the world won’t have a chance.
We are now a few weeks removed from Wrestlemania 30. Usually around this time, I like to throw out ideas for the following year’s Wrestlemania. I usually update this after SummerSlam and Survivor Series as well. Just for fun, lets take a look back at my predicted matches for Wrestlemania 30 after Wrestlemania 29.
<- I absolutely love the fact that The Wolves are being featured on an international stage. I hate that it has to be against the BroMans. The minds for tag team wrestling that The Wolves have is incredible. But now does TNA have any other tag teams to face the Wolves since Daniels & Kaz are gone?
1. A Zeb Colter and Paul Heyman debate. If this was the entire two hours of Smackdown I would not complain one bit.
2. Cesaro vs Swagger goes from being a possible PPV match to looking like it is settled on Smackdown. I don’t get that. Even though I think they are both heels, the crowd would obviously be behind Cesaro during the match. There wouldn’t be anything to worry about. And the two had a good match here. Swagger is underrated at a worker. I really wonder where he would have ended up if it wasn’t for his DUI arrest before Wrestlemania last year.
<- So I’ve been pretty much out of the loop when it comes to Impact lately. The last show I watched saw Daniel Bryan’s doppelgänger win the World Championship just days after Daniel Bryan had a career making night at WrestleMania 30. That said, I knew I needed to catch up on Impact with a PPV tonight so I figured I’d throw 2 shows in one column. Who knows if it will work but then again, when was the last time TNA worked?
<- It only took 8 months but it looks like they are finally moving forward with Daniel Bryan & Brie “Bryan”(?) Bella as the modern “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. I only can only think the WWE waited until Brie & Bryan were legally married before moving ahead with them as an on-screen couple. I love the idea as long as it doesn’t play out how recent WWE relationships have played out. Give them a good run together since I think they each could add a bit to each other’s characters.
Sorry guys I never got around to writing a post for last weeks episode but I did watch it. Here is a quick recap: John Cena bought Nikki a house on the beach even though she spent the whole episode stalking him and thinking he was cheating. The End.
– Jon and Trinity have been together much longer than I expected. I like the way they have decided to get married that’s how I wanted to do it but noooo my husband had to have a church/family wedding. Jon and his brother seem to have a very strained relationship with their dad but not in a we don’t get along way, more like they don’t know how to talk to him way. Jon asking his dad to come to his wedding is a very uncomfortable scene. His dad didn’t exactly say yes… They got a beautiful spot to get married. That is pretty horrible that Jon’s dad isn’t coming and that no one told Trinity. Jey’s speech was really nice and did make a sucky situation better. Trinity has a see through wedding dress with nipple pasties… besides that it was a really beautiful wedding.
