First off I would just like to apologize for my lack of updates the past several weeks. Since I have moved Time Warner Cable has completely screwed up my internet access and to make a very long story short I have been unable to do my quick hits for NXT and my bi weekly columns. Finally this week Time Warner fixed all of their mistakes and surprisingly gave me a free month of internet due to their countless errors. I am back and will be putting out my NXT review starting this week after we do our Extreme Rules Preview Show on BlogTalkRadio.com along with a column this weekend. I have a few quick thoughts I wanted to cover in a quick hits format that I’m sure will be covered in more detail on our podcast this week.
:John Cena and Bray Wyatt have been nothing short of spectactular weeks before Wrestlemania through their very erie segment on Monday night. Wyatt is the best thing for John Cena right now, Cena is making Bray into a star and it’s the perfect time to do so. The months between Wrestlemania and Summerslam is considered the down time where the WWE can try out new characters and angles so keeping Cena and Wyatt together for another special event or two should be solid gold.
: The Shield has been money for the WWE the entire year and a half plus they have been on the main roster and everyone knows it. Turning them babyface was the right move at the right time. It’s time to make these three guys mega stars and it starts with Evolution. If The WWE is going to split up Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins then the three of them really need to be ready to be stars on their own for not only the WWE’s sake but their own personal needs and wants as well.
: The greatest fear of Daniel Bryan becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion hasn’t come true quite yet but it’s another match with Kane or Big Show or worse from coming true. Daniel is stuck in the mid card, again, just weeks after beating Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista in one night. Once this feud with Kane fizzles out the WWE need to pull together something to keep the Yes Movement train going.
: Aligning Cesaro with Paul Heyman is a still a huge, lazy mistake to me, even if it leads to Cesaro against Brock Lesnar somewhere down the line. Cesaro has been ready to be by himself for quite some time and even though Paul Heyman is arguably the greatest professional wrestling manager of all time, this pairing simply wasn’t necessary. Once Cesaro beats Jack Swagger and RVD on Sunday to blow off this feud with Swagger and Zeb Colter what is next for the King of Swing and his high powered gun?
: Once again thank you guys for reading, I apologize for missing quick hits and my columns. I will be back this weekend with a new column. Make sure to listen to the Extreme Rules Preview show tomorrow night live on BlogTalkRadio.com at 8 PM Est. Follow me on twitter @CamDougharty and let’s talk rasslin!
