-I actually got a laugh out of that opening segment. The only thing that would have made it better would have been The Authority paying Price Is Right games to win the prizes. Mercury and Noble’s reactions to the car were great. It was another Authority opening, but it was at least different and good for a couple laughs.

-Alberto el Patron and Johnny Mundo are both in Dario Cueto’s office. They both say they should be #1 Contender over Hernandez. Cueto makes Mundo vs Alberto for later, with the winner facing Hernandez next week in a new #1 Contender’s Match.

-Cortez Castro and Mr. Cisco beat Son of Havoc and Angelico. OK action. Some clunky spots.

JC’s Top Rope Report: Catching Up With Lucha Underground Ep. 21-25

Episode 21

-Big Ryck is in Dario Cueto’s office with a new crew, Killshot and The Mack. Cueto says he is introducing a new Trio’s Championship tonight, and Cueto tells Ryck his crew can be in the tournament.

-Johnny Mundo defeated Angelico in the opening match. If you did a shot every time a kick was landed in this match, you’d be past out right now. I’m not a big fan of Angelico’s kicks because I think they look weak.

-Boy have I missed Paul Heyman promos. Hearing a Heyman promo to start the show instead of an Authority one was great. And yes, Brock Lesnar should have noogied Michael Cole to death.

-The Sheamus/Roman Reigns match may have been brutal, but the crowd did just not care at all when Sheamus had control of the match. Once Reigns started his comeback there was some crowd involvement, but the fans aren’t taking Sheamus seriously at all yet.

-Aerostar defeats Drago in the opener to even up their series at one a piece. Dario Cueto comes out and says the two will have a best of five series, with the winner to be granted one of Cueto’s “unique opportunities.” Hey, more Drago/Aerostar is fine with me.

-Cage defeats Prince Puma after Konnan threw in the towel for Puma. Really good match with a fishy ending. Konnan said Puma will live to fight another day, but Vampiro questions his true intentions.
