Bayley vs Sasha Banks to Main Event next NXT Takeover in a 30 Minute Ironman Match for the NXT Women’s Championship
-This might be the most excited I’ve been for a wrestling match all year. Will it have the same drama as their match in Brooklyn? Probably not. But you know these two will go out there and have a great match. I expect these two to put on a wrestling clinic in the ring. I’m assuming Bayley wins the match. Sasha is done with NXT and this is just a final send off for her before Bayley becomes the new face of the women’s division in NXT.
Lana Out After Wrist Surgery
-If you thought the Dolph Ziggler/Rusev storyline was already getting bad, it gets worse with Lana out after breaking her wrist while training. She’s expected to be out of action for around four months. Now of course, you can still be on TV with a broken wrist. But it sounds like Lana suffered a pretty serious break and probably won’t be able to do much. I wonder if the WWE is regretting not doing the mixed tag match at SummerSlam now. Hopefully the Rusev/Ziggler story ends at Night of Champions now.
Ronda Rousey Not Likely To Appear At Wrestlemania 32?
-I always thought here wrestling at the show was a long shot. But now that she will be starring in a remake of Roadhouse, it appears very unlikely that she will be on the show. Now of course, you can always take a break from filming to make a one off appearance. But I would put the odds of her wrestling on the show now at less than 10%.
WWE Signs Japanese Women’s Star Kana To NXT
-I haven’t seen much of Kana’s work outside of highlight packages, but the woman is a solid wrestler who should fit in nicely on NXT. She will go by the name of Asuka in the WWE. With three of the four horsewomen of NXT promoted to the main roster, the WWE needs to reload its women’s division in NXT and Kana is a great start.
Undertaker Not Retiring At Wrestlemania 32?
-Jim Ross noted in his blog this past week that The Undertaker may not be retiring at Wrestlemania 32 like the majority of wrestling fans expect. I don’t get that. Taker has nothing left to prove. And unless he is willing to put over new stars along the way, this move really doesn’t make sense. Taker looked gassed near the end of his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, so I have no idea what he has left for the WWE at this point.
