According to multiple reports, Brock Lesnar failed a second drug test in the lead up to UFC 200. This new failure, however, was an in-competition failure on the day of UFC 200. It is also apparently the same substance that caused Lesnar to fail the first test.
Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times adds more to the story:
Clomiphene is an estrogen blocker that can be used to increase testosterone production for competitors that are cycling off steroids.
If this is true, then you have to wonder why Brock Lesnar decided to come back to the UFC in the first place. He looks bad, and his reputation as a fighter is tarnished because of this. You also have to feel bad for Mark Hunt, who has to wonder if he could have beaten a clean Brock Lesnar.
It’ll be interesting to see how the WWE addresses this latest failure. It seems like they were ready to sweep it under the rug with the promotion they were doing for Lesnar/Orton on RAW. I doubt this second failure changes anything.
