Jason Lee vs Rich Swann
-Lee comes out with nunchucks. But they don’t glow in the dark like Aerostar’s did. Therefore, they are irrelevant.
-The match is over surprisingly quick. Swann hits a standing 450 splash for the win. No surprise there.
-Swann loves to dance. If JBL was here, he’d be talking about HOW MUCH FUN SWANN IS HAVIN MAGGLE!
WINNER: Rich Swann
Noam Dar vs Gurv Sihra
-Does what’s his name doing the ring announcing really have to say :”It’s time for some more first round action!” before every match?
-Both men play to the crowd as heels after they hit a move.
-Sihra gets caught in the ropes so Dar kicks him in the back of the leg.
-Dar reminds me of a small, young Brad Maddox.
-Too much showboating from Dar allows Sihra to get back in the match with a spinning heel kick.
-Sihra misses an elbow from the top. Dar hits an enziguri then applies a knee bar, causing Sihra to tap.
WINNER: Noam Dar
Jack Gallagher vs Fabian Aichner
-Gallagher looks like he belongs in the Vaudevillains as Aiden English’s brother.
-Aichner was trained by Alex Wright? I’m picking him. Who could doubt the training of Das Wunderkind???
-Gallagher uses a gentleman like counter to get out of a wristlock.
-Aichner outweighs Gallagher by 40 pounds. But he is using fundamental wrestling to reverse all of Aichner’s offense.
-Aichner goes for a springboard kick and barely makes any contact.
-After a great nearfall exchange, Aichner hits a double springboard moonsault for two.
-Gallagher applies a guillotine choke. Aichner counters into a sit out powerbomb but again only gets two.
-Aichner misses a frogsplash. Gallagher knocks Aichner into the corner and hits a hard corner dropkick for the win.
WINNER: Jack Gallagher
Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa
-Gargano gets the upperhand with an armbar. Ciampa gets out of it with an elbow that sends spit flying out of Gargano’s mouth.
-Ciampa plays up his psycho heel role and continues to land some hard knees and elbows to the head.
-Gargano catches Ciampa with a kick to the head and then a slingshot DDT.
-Gargano gets Ciampa caught in the corner with his head in the buckle. Gargano with a kick to the head, then a sit out powerbomb and suicide dive.
-Both men exchange hard headshots as we reset.
-They roll to the outside where Ciampa hits an Irish Curse backbreaker on the apron. Ouch.
-Ciampa hesitates and puts his knee pad back on. Gargano hits a superkick. Ciampa comes right back with a clothesline and a sit out backstabber but only gets two.
-Ciampa lands some slaps but shows some hesitation again. Gargano lands a couple chops. Both men exchange nearfalls. Gargano gets a rolling crucifix to pick up the win. Hell of a match.
WINNER: Johnny Gargano
