1. Relax Natives: Goldberg Isn’t Winning The Royal Rumble
-I saw a bunch of people up in arms on Twitter, freaking out about Goldberg winning the Royal Rumble. Relax. This is not going to happen. I’m willing to bet my life on it (Though I said the same about Taker beating Brock at WM30.) Goldberg will be in the match to presumably set up his program with whoever he is going to fight at Wrestlemania. It could be Brock again. I hope it is someone currently on the roster full time. But Goldberg is not coming back to win a Title. I’m sure even he realizes that would be a bad idea.
2. I Hope New Day Turns Heel Soon
-Throughout the entire match, New Day was giving me heel vibes. Xaiver was acting like he used to when they were a heel group. Then Xaiver distracts the ref as Kofi is tapping out to the Sharpshooter. I still am not a fan of the Cesaro/Sheamus pairing, but they are the best option if they WWE wants to use them to turn New Day heel. I’ve been saying for awhile now that I’m getting bored with New Day’s act. If they turn New Day heel and give them an edge, I might start to enjoy them. Hell, rip off the New Day and have them holding onto the Titles by “any means necessary.” Take a serious side like the Nation of Domination, obviously without the same racial undertones.
3. Rusev Continues To Be The Most Honorable Man On The Roster
-So first Rusev has to go through a program with Roman Reigns where Reigns constantly rags on his family and his wife. And the announcers constantly talk about Rusev defending his wife’s honor. Now a naked Enzo Amore walking around the back hits on his wife. Rusev again comes to his wife’s defense. How is this man a heel? Rusev looks like he is getting lost in the shuffle on RAW. I would love to see him on Smackdown. It looks like he is about to be fed to Big Cass.
4. Letting The Cruiserweights Be Cruiserweights
-This was probably the best night yet for the cruiserweights on RAW. They had two solid matches on the show. It looked like they were allowed to open up their offense a bit and fly around a bit more. The triple threat match had a couple of sloppy moments. But overall this was easily their best night on RAW. I’m hoping Rich Swann defeats Brian Kendrick next week. I’ve been down on Kendrick the last few weeks. And Swann has the most personality out of everyone in the division.
5. Solid Main Event To Close The Show
-Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins had a good brawl to close the show. I was shocked that Triple H did not interfere when Jericho and Reigns were banned from ringside. But Jericho showing up in a Sin Cara mask (and Nakamura hoodie) was great. Take a jab at the insiders. I loved the tease of the Owens/Jericho break-up earlier in the night as well. Owens and Jericho are the best thing the WWE has going right now. I’m assuming this leads to Rollins/Jericho and Owens/Reigns at Roadblock.
