WWE 205 Live 1.31.17: Spewin’ Snark Recap w/ Cameron Dougharty

Tony Nese v. Lince Dorado

For some reason or another it’s always been hard for a new luchador talent to get over in the WWE if they wrestle under a mask. The WWE continued their search for the next Rey Mysterio. Dorado could be it but does the WWE believe that?

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Tony Nese is a superior talent, the guy should be on Smackdown as well as 205 Live. Nese wins the match and attacks Dorado after the match until TJ Perkins (remember him?) made the save.

WINNER: Tony Nese

Rich Swann was already a great wrestling talent, we all knew that, but boy oh boy can the guy cut a convincing promo; Swann equals money.

Aaron Solo v. Akira Tozawa

Tozawa finally made his 205 Live debut and it couldn’t have come a day sooner. I’ve been blessed enough to see Tozawa at a PWG show last year, the guy can go.

While Brian Kendrick watched at ringside Akira put on a Wrestling clinic on his way to winning his 205 Live debut.

WINNER: Akira Tozawa

Neville & Noam Dar v. Cedric Alexander & Jack Gallagher

Boy oh boy does Vince have a crush on Gallagher. Jack was not only the lone Cruiserweight in the Royal Rumble but his gimmick continues to be tweaked here and there for a possible main roster push?

Neville is turning himself into a top heel. It’s almost like he was destined to be the top bad guy in the Cruiserweight Division.

The 205 Live guys just put the rest of the WWE tag team divisions on notice with their match of the year candidate. If you haven’t watched yet, do it NOW!

WINNERS: Cedric Alexander and Jack Gallagher
