-I’m here bringing you a live Smackdown review on Valentine’s Day, so you know exactly what my love life is like.
-Bray Wyatt has much more intensity in his promo this week as he seems extra motivated with the Title. He says he truly feels like he has the whole world in his hands.
-John Cena comes out. He wants to have their fight right now.
-AJ Styles is out. He calls Cena a line jumper and accuses him of jumping the line at the airport and grocery store. Cena does look like someone who would cut the line at a grocery store, or bring 15 items in the 10 item or less lane.
-Daniel Bryan comes out and has a simple solution to all of this: a triple threat match later tonight for the Title. That’s big, and also something you might want to advertise a week or two in advance.
American Alpha vs The Ascension
-If the Ascension couldn’t beat a beaten down American Alpha, what makes me think they would win with Alpha at 100%?
-AA sends the Ascension to the outside into commercial and I’m really disappointed the Sabres game is at intermission right now.
-We are back fro break and the Ascension is in control. Gable is the babyface in peril as always.
-Jordan gets the hot tag and goes to work. Gable comes in and the Ascension get to him, but AA eventually hits Grand Amplitude for the win.
-That guy who is at every PPV with the long hair in the front row is there and cheering the Ascension. Who actually cheers the Ascension?
-The Usos tell American Alpha to watch out, because they are coming for AA.
WINNERS: American Alpha
-Dean Ambrose is looking for Baron Corbin. He runs into James Ellsworth and Carmella. Dean tells Ellsworth to try online dating and Carmella is using him. Daniel Bryan makes a match between Ambrose and Ellsworth.
James Ellsworth vs Dean Ambrose
-The match never gets started, as Corbin drags Ambrose out and they brawl a bit until Corbin gets the upper hand and takes out Ambrose. I have no problem with this as an IC Title feud.
-Nikki Bella and Natalya end up brawling in Daniel Bryan’s office. He makes a Falls Count Anywhere match next week between the two. Once again, a gimmick match that makes sense for a feud.
-Dolph Ziggler interview. He says he is going to wipe out an entire generation to get his point across. He says no one steals his place, but some people are going to be put in there’s. About five years to late on that Dolph.
Becky Lynch vs Mickie James
-I hate when any wrestler wears a t-shirt over their ring gear. Let the wrestlers stand out with their own gear.
-Some chain wrestling to start between the two.
-Mickie regroups on the outside, then tries taking control back in the ring but Becky shuts it down.
-Becky knocks Mickie off the apron. They end up double clotheslining each other into commercial.
-Mickie is in control back from break until she misses the double knees off the top and Becky starts her comeback.
-Mickie gets knocked off the apron and says she hurt her shoulder. The ref checks on her and tells Becky to back off. But Mickie then catches Becky with a Mick Kick and picks up the win.
WINNER: Mickie James
Feel The Glow
-I still don’t know what that means, but this is what the segment is called.
-Naomi says she suffered an injury on Sunday, but didn’t know it until after when she got back to her hotel.
-Alexa Bliss comes out. She says Naomi made up this injury because she knows she wouldn’t beat her in a rematch.
-Alexa says she will give Naomi one week. So Naomi can either give Alexa the Title, or she will snatch it from her.
WWE Championship: Bray Wyatt (c) vs John Cena vs AJ Styles
-As Bray Wyatt is about to enter the ring, Luke Harper appears to meet him at the steps. He attacks Bray and slams him into the barricade.
-Cena and Styles have started the match while Bray is on the outside. How is that okay?
-Bray pulls Cena out of the ring and throws him into the steps. But he turns around and catches an AJ Styles forearm from over the top.
-Styles and Bray go at it for a bit. Cena escapes Sister Abigail but Bray then eats a Phenomenal Forearm, But Styles goes right into an AA but kicks out at two.
-Bray hits Sister Abigail on Cena but Styles breaks up the pin.
-We are back from break and Styles hits a splash on the announce table but it doesn’t break. Styles goes to a leg drop and this time it breaks.
-Cena catches Styles going for the Phenomenal Forearm and hits the AA. He goes for the roll through like at the Rumble but Styles counters into the Calf Crusher. But Cena escapes and applies the STF. Bray breaks it up.
-Cena hits the AA on Bray Wyatt. Two count. Styles Clash on Cena. Two count.
-Cena knocks Styles off the ropes. But he walks right into Sister Abigail to give Bray Wyatt the win.
WINNER and STILL WWE Champion: Bray Wyatt
-After the match Randy Orton makes a really slow walk to the ring. Orton says as long as Bray is the master and he is the servant, he refuses to faces Bray at Wrestlemania. Orton says he pledges his allegiance to Bray and kneels in front of him. Bray tells Orton he now has the keys to the kingdom as the show closes.
OVERALL: Even with the triple threat match, I think I have to give the edge to RAW this week. Smackdown felt flat until that match. Bray once again wins clean over Cena and Styles. The end reminded me why Harper should’ve won Sunday. He’d be taken more as a threat if he did. Smackdown’s tag team division needs some major help. American Alpha needs real competition. It seems like next week is going to be based around the women, which I am okay with considering there is so much time between now and Mania.
