After an… interesting Survivor Series which gave us a great Brock Lesnar/AJ Styles Match and a headscratching 5 on 5 Men’s Raw vs Smackdown match, Monday Night Raw is riding high after a 4-3 victory over their Tuesday night competition.  Here are the big things we saw go down on Monday night!

HHH is the Belle of the Ball!

Last night was, for me, a troublesome time for the Main Event Players of Raw and Smackdown.  Mostly because it all came down to stars from 15 years ago and not the people they should be branding around now.  I digress.  In the opening segment, Stephanie McMahon brags about Raw’s Victory over Smackdown the night before and brings out the man she says is responsible – HHH.  This leads to him becoming a very popular man in the ring. First – Kurt Angle interrupts to tell HHH that speaking as a gold medalist, not a GM, Trips better not pull anything like that again.  Jason Jordan joins his papa out in the ring to challenge HHH himself.  Stephanie warns Kurt she can’t do that, Jordan says Trips is afraid and as Steph tries to say he fears NO MAN, BRAUN hits the ring and HHH goes running with his wife.  He wants him too, but Steph gives us Jason Jordan vs BRAUN so they can work out their frustration.

I’m not sure I’m ready for the next few months of this drama but I think we better all strap ourselves in.

 A Triumphant Return – With a Twist!

After it being teased last week and a LONG time away to deal with her neck and some demons, Paige returns! She interrupts a Fatal Fourway to a pretty big pop and announces that she’s back – and she didn’t come alone.  Attacking in ring for the former Divas Champ are two of her former Tough Enough contestants, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville! They make short work of the women in the ring and Paige’s return starts out pretty successfully.

Backstage Paige & company are about to be interviewed but Renee Young who welcomes her back.  Before she can get too far, Champ Alexa Bliss interrupts to say the women in the ring deserves the beat down they got.  She probably doesn’t agree she herself deserved one but that is what the women decides to do and they take the Goddess down.

I haven’t seen enough of Sonya Deville, but Mandy Rose isn’t the most dynamic in ring.  She’s developed her character pretty well though even if she hasn’t been on NXT a ton, and I like the connection through Tough Enough as to why they would side with Paige.

The Shield Look to Regain Their Golden Crowns.

The Shield are the guests on Miz TV!  Well, Miz invites Roman Reigns to be his guest and the entire Shield come out.  After Miz demands a Thank You for bringing their team back together, the hounds inform Miz they’re ready to take their tag titles back after beating the New Day.  When Roman complains to Seth he wants a belt too, Seth suggests he take Miz’s belt.  The Miztourage tell The Shield they’d have to go through them first, which they do.  In the main event – Roman beats Miz making me believe it won’t be long until Seth & Dean win their titles back from The Bar.

Im not surprised this was the outcome nor that they’re looking to put belts on all members of The Shield.  I just don’t like they took the belts off them first but I guess it worked for their Survivor Series storyline.

BRAAAAAAAAAUN!

BRAUN is just great.  He’s here to put over Jason Jordan by praising him for being brave enough to not be afraid and fight him, and to keep trying to bring relevance to the demon Kane.  Unfortunately he’s brutally attacked by the monster who crushes BRAUN’s throat with a chair.  So, this feud is continuing on.
